You Get to Choose How You Show Up: Sunshine or Storm Cloud

I was listening to Simon Sinek's podcast (a favourite) earlier this week; he was interviewing Mel Robbins, and she said something that stuck with me.

I'm paraphrasing, but she essentially said this:

"You get to choose how you show up: sunshine or storm cloud".

She's right.

While I appreciate that there are times when we are less in control of our emotions if our basic needs are met, we can often choose to show up however we like—a bit like when we decide to "be a radiator, not a drain".

So perhaps today, we'll be a little more sunshine.
