This is Not a Break

What is a break? I've been thinking about this recently.

Doom-scrolling and mindless social media consumption don’t help me rest—they often leave me feeling more depleted.

That doesn’t mean all screen time is off-limits.

Reading on my Kindle or designing my island on Animal Crossing can be restful.

I think the difference is intention.

I’m learning that a healthy break supports recovery—not just distraction.
