One Point of Truth for Tasks
One of the mistakes I see most often in people trying to get on top of their workload is reaching for a new task management app, thinking it will solve all their problems.
And yet, their tasks are still scattered across emails, sticky notes, notebooks, and their own brain.
The problem isn’t the tool. The problem is how it’s being used.
I am not saying you should never switch apps, but if you do, bring all your tasks together in one place to have one point of truth. (Even better, do this with your current tool before you contemplate switching.)
If you skip this step, it doesn’t matter how good the tool is. You’ll still feel overwhelmed because you don’t have the full picture.
When your tasks live in one trusted place, you can see your true workload. You can make better decisions and prioritise what matters.
And most importantly, you reduce cognitive overload, which supports your wellbeing and helps you practise sustainable productivity.
Do you have one point of truth for tasks?
